The venue is open Monday-Saturday for lunch, dinner, or just coffee & cocktails. About the role
- Utilise your creativity in preparing exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and appearance
- Working with a large hospitality company with multiple restaurants
- Work closely with the Head and Executive Chefs to further your cooking skills and techniques
- Work with the Head Chef to bring food and staff costs in on line
- Motivate and manage a small kitchen brigade, ensuring speed of service for restaurant and function service
- Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Follow all food safety procedures and legislation
- Gastro pub and grazing menu
- Rotating Lunch and dinner shifts
About you
- Qualifications in Commercial Cookery
- Experienced in a fast paced bar or pre-theatre restaurant would be ideal
- Excellent communication skills
- Be passionate and open to learning new skills in the kitchen
- Hold valid working rights in Australia with the ability to work full time hours
